Cookie Baking Night 09/13/10

Tonight was Cookie Baking Night. In attendance this evening: Emily, Ethan, and Carissa. Finally, the whole gang was here at one time. Tonight we made peanut butter cookies (the kind that you wrap around a peanut butter cup).

We also read lesson 35 from our book Leading Little Ones to God (by Marian Schoolland). Ethan read Mark 4:35-41 for us from the Bible.

And we finished the evening with a walk in the cool late summer weather. As usual, a fun time was had by all.

Greg mowed the lawn this evening, and when he finished, he turned on the the sprinklers. This was almost too much for the kids. They wanted to run in the sprinklers, but I wouldn't let them because it was a little on the cool side, and they didn't have any spare clothes with them. After a couple minutes of watching this enticing scene outside the kitchen window, Ethan loudly exclaimed, "Why must he [Greg] torture us like this?"
