Tonight was Cookie Baking Night. In attendance this evening: Ethan, Carissa, and Emily. Due to a scheduling conflict, I had to cancel Cookie Baking Night last time. And the time before that, only Carissa attended. So, it has been a while since we've all been together.
We made s'mores. We've done this one before, and it's a keeper. If you like s'mores, then you can't beat this easy recipe.
Just line up some graham crackers on a cookie sheet (covered with parchment paper). Have the children sprinkle mini marshmallows on the crackers.
Place under the broiler for about 4 minutes (until the marshmallows are golden brown).
Place chocolate pieces on top of the melted marshmallows and cover with the second graham cracker.
And voila! You have s'mores.
Tonight we read lessons 72 and 73 from Leading Little Ones to God by Marian Schoolland. Both lessons were on prayer, which led to some interesting discussion about why, where, and how we pray. We spent some time talking about it out loud and processing it. Emily read 1 Kings 8:22-28 from the Bible for us. And Ethan read Psalm 95:1-6.
We ended the evening with a rousing game of Pictureka and Go Fish.
As usual, a fun time was had by all.
