Tonight was Cookie Baking Night. In attendance this evening: Carissa, Allison, Rylar, and Enzo. Tonight we made a twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie. Everyone got to choose what kind of chips they wanted: chocolate, butterscotch, white chocolate. Everyone had a different combination.

Cookie Baking Night 02/22/21
With this particular chocolate chip cookie recipe, you mix the sugar and butter for 3 minutes and then add eggs and let it mix for another 2 minutes. Rylar was on mixer duty. He stopped the mixer every minute and scraped the sides. He was the right man for the job.
As usual, a fun time was had by all.

Cookie Baking Night 02/08/2021
Tonight was Cookie Baking Night. In attendance this evening: Allison, Rylar, and Enzo. It was our first Cookie Baking Night of the year. As the year 2020 and COVID 19 brought many changes to the whole world, Cookie Baking Nights had to make some adjustments too. We took a few long breaks when the MN Governor requested that we refrain from social gatherings for a time. Our last Cookie Baking Night was in November of 2020. We didn't have a Niece and Nephew Christmas party last year because of that, so we we decided to make our first gathering of the year a Valentine party.
We decorated heart shaped cookies
Made and distributed Valentine cards and treats
Had a little fun with stickers
Played the dice game for prizes
Had a little fun assembling our prizes
And had our Bible lesson.
No Valentine Day Party is complete without talking about love. And the greatest love we've ever known is the love of God for us. We love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). We know love because of the greatest gift ever given to us by God, his Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus gave his life for us to pay a debt that we could not pay. He gave his sinless life as a sacrifice for our sins.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
We thank God for His love. May we never take it for granted.
