The book club selection for the month of December is Evidence Not Seen by Darlene Deibler Rose. I purchased this book back in January of this year in anticipation of reading it for the book club. I immediately read it and finished it in about three days.
It's an autobiographical story of a young missionary couple serving in New Guinea in the late 1930's and early 1940's when World War II broke out, and they were taken as Japanese prisoners. Darlene spent four years in a Japanese prison camp and chronicles much of that experience in this book. If you have not read any of the book club choices yet this year, please read this one. You will be changed by it (there is no choice in that).
As I've already read it, I will be re-reading it (which I'm hoping will make for timely posts this month), and highlighting areas that stood out to me in the Book Club Wednesday posts for December.
